PA system with full mics, acoustic and electric guitars, bass, keyboards and percussion are available. The house has a full drum kit with a double kick as well as an assortment of noisemakers and a pair of full size congas.
Beringer 22 board with 100 digital effects, 2442 mixer (not a 2222 mixer), 3 fender guitar amps, bass amp, house effects pedals, 16 channel audio snake, sixteen par38 lights, sound activated lights, great stage with great sound.
Do not bring your guitar/bass amps. The house has good amps.
ON site sound person will adjust levels.

How about the 'media club'? They had a jam not too long ago. I think that it's still on .
Anyone know where there are some open mic places with a piano? I know there are 2 listed under Thursday and I know Myles of Beans has one too. Anyone know about any of the other places?
The Cottage, Cellar and the Annex has a keyboard set-up already for you.

the backstage lounge (artsclub, granville island) has a piano for open mics on monday nights- sign up starts at 7 and can fill up fast. open mic starts at 10.

The Yale has an electric organ on stage, but it's a very blues crowd.
Anyone know of an open mic in the Chilliwack or Langley area that would be cool with a 14 year old male singer/songwriter/guitarist?

Bean Around the World at the Lonsdale Quay is a great venue. Played there back in June and it's very well organized.
Cottage Bistro was a great surprise. The host (Les) was really friendly and helpful, going so far as to give me a sound check well before I even went on. Great set up... i think that night was more blues-jamming based, with every other Wednesday being maybe more acoustic/arts/poetry, which I will totally check out.

The Bad Dog Grill has Closed it's Doors. Host Roger Potter has taken The Acoustic Open Mic Back to Abbotsford on Thursday Nights at The Half-Time Bar and Grill located at The Dogwood Blowing Lanes. As of Wednesday Dec. 16 Roger Potter will also be Hosting a New Acoustic Open Mic in Mission at The Dewdney Pub.
Hey all! The Java Hut at 16th and Willow is starting up its Summer open mic on Wednesdays from 6:30 - 9:30.
