Sunday

Monday | Tuesday | Wednesday | Thursday | Friday | Saturday | Sunday

Open mics come and go, and we can't keep on top of them all by ourselves.

It's a good idea to call the venue first and make sure it's still open.

Help us out -- Submit a new open mic or tell us about a dead one at changes (AT) openmicvancouver (DOT) com

Don't forget to read the comments at the bottom of the page. Someone may have reported a new or closed open mic there too.

Hey the Great Bear Pub's Open Jam isn't on Sunday. It's on Monday.....make sure you phone ahead on any of these open mics IF you havent been to them before. Saves you the headache!

Leo?09 November 2008, 21:12

At these open mics do you have to sing live or you can play a tape or a CD? I can't perform live for example - can't remember lyrics, hit the wrong chords, the whole thing is a disaster.

Nick?07 December 2008, 20:21

I think the point is to have people performing live to show case there skills as live performers. Sorry

neil?18 January 2009, 16:07

What's the benifit of phoning ahead? Just to see if there is space or to see if it is on at all? Is there trouble for new people to get on the list usually?

b?23 January 2009, 14:38

Sometimes open mics are pre-empted by something - perhaps a hockey game or whatever.

I'm a StandUp comic out of Edmonton. I'm looking for venues that host StandUp Open Mic. Keith (The Professor)

The open mic on sunday @ the great bear in burnaby is totally rad. it's like a free for all jam!!! there's slam poets, acoustic joe folk acts, rock and ska mayham and all kinds of sound effects and looping!!!

chris?15 November 2009, 22:44

renew your website guys! We have driven around vancouver tonight looking for open mics and at least 3 of your listings no longer have them.

Thanks

Jill?17 November 2009, 04:11

Hi Chris,

I'm sorry to hear that you drove around and they were closed. :(

We rely on the community to let us know when open mics open and close. We also recommend calling the venue first to make sure it's still on. Can you please tell me which ones are no longer on?

chris?18 November 2009, 20:55

Sure, no problem.

The railway club doesnt have a jam on Sunday, its on Saturday. The Kingshead no longer has an open mic and there was another, but its not actually on your list. Thank you for taking the time to get back to me and I'll make sure to call ahead next time Chris

Jill?04 December 2009, 03:39

Thanks, Chris! I made the changes.

Jill?22 January 2010, 05:28

I hear that Kingshead started one up on Sundays again. Can anyone confirm this?

John?13 August 2010, 20:00
